Our Journey

Our journey began with Kids Matters Occupational Therapy, a private practice established in 2003. Over the years, we have had the privilege of supporting countless children and families through expert therapy services. However, we have also witnessed the heartbreaking reality that not every family can afford to meet their child’s additional health and developmental needs.

No child should be turned away from receiving essential support due to financial barriers. This deeply held belief is what led us to take a bold step forward. In late 2022, we saw an opportunity to make a real difference and established The Kids Matters Community Foundation in January 2023 as a Not-for-Profit organisation. Our mission is to ensure every child, regardless of their situation, has access to essential allied health support. Empowering families to overcome barriers and opening doors to brighter futures.

Our mission is to bridge the gap for families of vulnerable children, providing access to essential specialist health care and support. We strive to open doors to opportunity, ensuring every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential because no child should be left behind.

Our vision is a world where every child, regardless of their family’s situation, has equal opportunities to thrive. By providing guidance, education and funding for specialist assessments and programs, we strive to create a future where all children can access the resources and support they need to actively participate in their communities, and lead happy, healthy lives.
