Containers for Changes

Your Rubbish Can Change Lives

Turn everyday containers into life-changing support for local children.

What if the bottles and cans in your recycling bin could help a child thrive? Through Containers for Change, they can.

By simply collecting your eligible drink containers and donating the refund to The Kids Matters Community Foundation, you can make a meaningful difference for developmentally vulnerable children in our community.

Just 250 containers can fund one parent consultation.

That single session could change the course of a child’s life, giving a family the guidance, understanding they need to get on the pathway to the support they need. It’s the right support at the right time, and it starts with something as simple as your recycling.

And while you’re helping children and families, you’re helping the planet too. Every container returned is one less in landfill or our waterways.

It’s that simple. Here’s how to get involved:

– Drop them at our clinic. Bring your containers to the TKMCF collection bin at Kids Matters Occupational Therapy in Aspley. We’ll take care of the rest.

– Return them yourself. Take your containers to any Containers for Change depot across Queensland and use our barcode to donate your refund directly to TKMCF.

Every container counts. Every child deserves the chance to thrive.

For many families, getting the right support for their child is simply out of reach. Behind every developmental, behavioural, or learning challenge is a parent trying to navigate long waits, high costs, and an overwhelming system.

Here’s how your donation can make a difference:

$220 – funds a specialist consultation

$822 – funds the Circle of Security Parenting Program

$2500 – funds a comprehensive assessment
