Our Impact
Chloe’s Story
Chloe is a bright and determined teenager with a remarkable spirit. At just two years old, she underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour. While the surgery was life-saving, it, along with a possible pre-existing developmental condition, left Chloe facing a number of ongoing challenges. She experiences difficulties with concentration, sensory sensitivities, balance and coordination, and navigating social interactions. All of which can make everyday life, particularly school, incredibly demanding.
When Chloe and her family needed support, The Kids Matters Community Foundation was able to provide funding for a comprehensive occupational therapy assessment, giving Chloe and her family the detailed understanding they needed. This assessment played a crucial role in helping her access a paediatrician for further diagnosis and in setting a clearer path for the right support and interventions.
It has been an absolute privilege to be part of Chloe’s journey. Her courage and resilience has inspired all of us at the Foundation, and we are honoured to have contributed to helping her realise her potential.
