About Our Foundation
Our Story
Our journey began with Kids Matters Occupational Therapy; witnessing families struggling to afford the support they desperately need for their children. From therewe had a simple mission: to ensure every child, regardless of their families’ financial situation, has access to the support they need to thrive.
Our Vision
Our vision is a world where every child has equal opportunities to thrive. We strive to create a future where all kids can access the services they need to learn, actively participate in their communities, and lead happy, healthy lives.
Our People
We are a team of dedicated professionals with a shared commitment to helping children and families thrive. Guided by a deep belief in equity and opportunity, we support families on their unique journeys and inspire the wider community to join us in making a lasting difference.
Who We Help
We support low income families with children who have additional educational needs, developmental needs or behavioural challenges. We provide guidance, education and financial support so families can access the right support services for their child.
The Ripple Effect
The Kids Matters Community Foundation has an impact that reaches far and lasts a lifetime. Supporting one child has a ripple effect – uplifting their whole family, empowering their teachers, strengthening friendships, and enhancing communities.
So far we have provided guidance to many Brisbane families and funded three local children through comprehensive assessments.
Our vision is to expand our reach throughout Queensland so more children can access the support they need to thrive. With every family we support, we are opening doors to brighter futures, not just for individual children, but for the communities they grow within too.
